Hi.

Welcome to No Square Peg. I want to impact the way women experience and embrace life through a myriad of channels. I want to encourage them to break rules, barriers, and trends.

Here I am, raw and unadulterated.

Here I am, raw and unadulterated.

On the eve of our event {Break Rules, Barriers & Trends hosted at dpHUE from 6:00-9:00pm} I am reflecting on what this means to me and how I am living this out in my business.

To be honest, I didn't really want to write a blog post about this at all. Especially after what has felt like one of the toughest weeks of my life recovering from yet another surgery and being spread so thin you could see right through me. Thankfully I had an amazing friend come to my rescue this afternoon and look me straight in the eyes and say, "you are my inspiration, and you can't give up."

So here I am, raw and unadulterated.

When I built No Square Peg at the core of the business I wanted it to be more than just selling clothes. Anyone can sell clothes (well kinda). I wanted to do more. I want to reach women on a level that encourages them to think about fashion differently. I wanted to do things differently.

As a stylist, when I walk into a women’s closet their eyes are immediately filled with remorse, shame and a story behind every article of clothing. I really wanted to change that. I want to encourage women to ‘dress for today and dress for who they are now.’

This is where the foundation of Break Rules, Barriers & Trends started and where our mission was born. So, step outside the box, break rules, shed barriers, and forgo trends; this is the road known as No Square Peg.

So, how am I living this out in my business and how is No Square Peg fulfilling this mission? Today, I can say that I am living this out in a number of ways.

1  Our style is not about conforming to traditional rules of fashion and our models are real ‘everyday’ women. They are never retouched or made to look slimmer. I want to celebrate all women and encourage them to love their bodies as they are today.

2  I collaborate and support local fashion bloggers, artists and designers because I believe a successful and thriving fashion community cannot be built on the back of one person, it will only thrive if it is built from a network of successful people.

3  My vision is to continue to change the way women experience and embrace fashion. I want to encourage them to explore new styles, shapes, colors, and patterns by breaking rules, barriers, and trends. Most of all, I want women to be confident in what they wear.

If you are free tomorrow night, come make some new friends, get inspired and shop.

Xoxo,

Jena
